ABOUT
Chainsnatcher is a Los Angeles DJ and producer with more than three decades behind the decks and a career that reaches far beyond the local underground. Beginning on vinyl in the mid 1990s rave and club scene, he built his reputation as a DJ first, eventually taking his career internationally and reaching the position of #1 DJ in China during the mid 2000s.

That depth of experience is central to the Chainsnatcher sound. His productions draw from Chicago house, jackin house, garage, disco, funk and techno, driven by the instincts of a DJ who has spent decades learning what actually works on a dance floor. Swing, chopped vocals, rolling basslines, soul and groove are the foundation, with genre boundaries treated as tools rather than rules.

His production career has accelerated rapidly, with releases on Brobot Records, Purveyor Underground, Groovphoria Records, Late Night Jackin, Feel The Funk Records, Rhythm Movement and other respected underground labels. That’s Nasty reached #2 on Beatport and was selected as Beatport Track of the Day. The Message also reached #2, while Chi-Town Anthem has remained in the Beatport Top 100 since its January 2026 release.

Chainsnatcher’s unofficial edits have generated attention well beyond the digital underground. His rework of Doja Cat’s Get Into It Yuh was pressed to limited-edition white-label vinyl and played by Derrick Carter on BBC Radio 6 Music. His edit of The Weeknd’s Die For You has become another standout release in his underground catalog.

Behind the decks, Chainsnatcher brings the experience of a career measured in decades rather than trends. His sets move through house, garage, disco and techno with the kind of long-form programming, control and musical range that comes from years of working real dance floors.

He also releases music under the Die Familia alias and is the founder of Babalon Music, his independent label and platform for underground house and techno.
